Hi! I’m Katy—the mom behind the Cummings chaos. 👋
I grew up in a small town in Indiana and somehow ended up building a life in Texas for the last 15+ years, and honestly thought that was going to be my big adventure.
Plot twist: I was wrong. 😄
After years of calling Texas home, I am packing up our life and moving halfway across the world to South Korea with my husband, Lee, our boys (Beckett and Sam), and our pups (Beaux and Lucy) for 675 sleeps and the adventure of a lifetime.
This blog is where I’ll share all of it—the exciting moments, the scary moments, the hilarious culture shocks, the homesick days, and the “I cannot believe this is actually our life” moments.

I’m not an expert. I’m not perfectly prepared. I’m definitely not moving overseas with a minimalist capsule wardrobe and a color-coded spreadsheet.
I’m just a small-town girl, a boy mom, a dog mom, and someone who said yes to an extraordinary opportunity—and now I’m documenting the adventure one chaotic day at a time.
