I’m Katy.

I’m a wife to Lee, mom to two boys who treat “inside voices” as more of a suggestion than a rule, dog mom, professional over-packer, and someone who’s convinced every great story starts with, “Well…that wasn’t the plan.”

I grew up in a small town in Indiana, somehow ended up in Texas for over 15 years, and now life has us chasing our next adventure halfway around the world. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the best memories usually happen when things go completely off the rails.

This blog is where I’ll share all of it—the travel, the family chaos, the funny moments, the parenting adventures, the occasional shopping find, and the stories that are too good (or too embarrassing) to keep to ourselves.

I’m not an expert at anything except finding the humor in almost every situation and turning everyday moments into stories. If you’ve ever laughed until you cried because your kids said something ridiculous, packed way too much for a weekend trip, or wondered how your life became this wonderfully chaotic… you’re my kind of people.
