I finally checked something off my bucket list during our trip to Seoul—a Korean color analysis! 🎨🇰🇷 I learned which colors flatter me most, along with recommendations for hair color, makeup, jewelry, perfume, and even clothing patterns. They also reviewed my current makeup and sent me off with a personalized shopping list for Olive Young.…

Our first family trip to Seoul: what we loved, what we learned, and everything we’d recommend to anyone planning a visit. We just got back from our first family trip to Seoul, and I can officially say it was one of our favorite adventures since moving to South Korea. Now, before anyone mistakes me for…

This week was our first Chuseok in Korea, which is basically Korea’s version of Thanksgiving. It’s a major Korean holiday centered around family, gratitude, honoring ancestors, and spending time together. There’s traditional food, family gatherings, travel, and usually a whole lot of people trying to get somewhere at the same time. For our first Chuseok,…

When I started Cummings & Goings, I was determined to document the ups and downs of our Korean adventure—Lucy’s goodbye is a post I never wanted to write, but our girl deserves to be documented, too. I have rewritten this in my head about a thousand times, and I still don’t know how to start.…

We’ve officially been in Okpo for 3 weeks—or 21 sleeps, which is a completely legitimate unit of measurement in the Cummings household. The boys and I have decided it should probably be recognized internationally. Anyway, I digress. It was a busy weekend in our little corner of Okpo. We finally managed to convert some of…

When we dropped the boys off at school today and drove past the shipyards, I realized something… I have done a terrible job explaining why we are actually living in Korea for 18 months. And no, it’s not because of our love of Korean skincare.Or Korean BBQ.Or because we are conveniently close to Japan and I…

The long-awaited house tour is finally here! And by “highly requested,” I mean approximately three people asked for it. But hey, those three people deserve what they asked for. I wanted to share a little peek into our new home in Korea. Most of you know, the first time I ever set foot in Korea was when…
